It is important for an educator to keep blooms taxonomy in the back of their head whenever they are teaching. This means that teachers must follow the same example when they are operating educational technology and mobil learning. Students learn the best with hands on learning. A man by the name of Ray Kurzweil, has a philosophy of education called learning by doing. Learning should be engaging, authentic, and relevant. Many iPad apps allow students to experience learning in a way they have never imagined. There are several iPad apps that support Bloom's Taxonomy: Videocasting, surveying, blogging, bookmarking and many more. Below is a list of some of the apps, and you can even visit this website for another list of appropriate education apps! 21st century learning will eventually change behavior and thinking, so try using technology such as the iPad in the classroom effectively. Then watch the results blossom before your eyes. Maybe giving new technology a chance doesn't have to be scary :) If you're not convinced, please look at what the Marshall Simonds Elementary School staff (located in Massachusetts) have to say about iPads in the classroom.
